Do I have to write a business plan?

Unless you have an established business looking to bring serious partners or investors on board you don't need a full professional looking business plan or 'deck'.

Having said that, a plan of what you are going to do is a really useful thing to have, even if it's written on the back of an envelope. In it you should record the following things, then re-visit it every few months so see if your plan has changed and why.

1: Your team, maybe it's just you, if not who else is involved and what will they do?

2: Your offer, what product or service you plan to sell.

3: Your route to market, how you are going to sell your product or service, eg direct to customer, through a wholesaler or online

4: Your supply chain, where you are going to get the things you need to produce your goods or service and how much you expect to pay.

5: Your marketing, how you plan to let your customer know about what you are doing.

6: Your customer avatar, who do you think will want to buy from you?

7: Your cashflow, how much money you expend to spend and make.
