How to find your people and why you should
Having a community of peers either online or IRL is a wonderful thing when you want to share the small victories that pepper your journey as you move towards living and working on your own terms.
As well as acknowledging how great it is to learn and celebrate alongside other freelancers and founders even more valuable I think is having them to turn to when we fall short and miss our goals. But with so many places to look how do we know when we have really found our people? Here are some good signs to look out for:
1: Do you get a warm welcome? Do people remember you in the group?
2: Do you feel confident to ask questions and feel like you get supportive, useful answers?
3: Do you find yourself checking in regularly to catch up with discussion topics?
4: Do you feel like your are contributing and that your experience is valuable?
For me, these are the signs that I might be in the right place to get the support I need, what do you think?
