Tech innovation is a feminist issue
This week I chatted to a friend who was a glamour model in the 90s. Recently she is back at it, this time selling topless pictures on the site Onlyfans; a content creation platform with a membership model. Tempted out of retirement by a piece of tech innovation that means she is now printing cash from home with the site taking a transparent 20%; world's apart from the analogue days of page 3 where young women predominantly generated money for men.
Over in REALWORK we are building an app of our own for the community (currently housed on Slack) to migrate onto. It's a big investment of time and money but I am excited about the power shift that tech innovation can represent.
