when your business feels so right you just love telling people about it…
I have been helping women start businesses since J-Lo and Ben Affleck got engaged (the first time) and the feedback from clients is always the same,
‘I love my business so much now and can’t wait to start telling people about it’.
I take women from worried that they don’t have what it takes to energised and confident. I really know we have got it right when I see them getting visible and talking about their business with ease and excitement.
If you are reading this and thinking you’ve heard it all before, that’s understandable. There are some energy-sapping common experiences in start-up land that can really drag you down. Coaching relationships and online programmes that don’t deliver and punchy marketing that gets you believing there is a formula you could apply to your business which would switch everything on (there isn’t), sound familiar? This is this stuff is pretty standard right now (when I started my first business we had a different but equally thorny list of hurdles.)
The good news is that together we can get you out of this cycle fast, I’m known for the energy I bring to my work with clients reporting big shifts almost straight away. But what does The Fleur Emery Method actually do? (of course I called it that, I brand anything that isn’t nailed down). I’ll give you the details in a bit but lets lead out with the important stuff, here is what working with me will give you:
Clarity regarding what you want to do and for whom.
Purpose, connecting you to your ‘why’ so that it can drive you forward.
Confidence that the knowledge gaps you were hiding have gone.
Agency to make decisions they had been putting off for months.
And one for luck as nothing with my work this is always the final destination…
Joy, the sense that you are free to express yourself in your business.
HOW DID I GET HERE?
My first brand went from concept to Waitrose in 18 months, the second from concept to house lager at The Ritz Hotel in the same time frame. I created and delivered a business and branding programme for founders at UCL and have coached some of the most successful women entrepreneurs of their generation.
The Dots named me ‘1 of 100 Women Changing the Creative Industries’. I was shortlisted for Female Entrepreneur of the Year by Investor Allstars, I won a Mercury Award for Best Onboard Food, I won the Grazia / O2 Award for Best Food & Drink Startup, The Guardian named me in their ‘Future 500’ list and I am a PowerMBA graduate. My podcast won the International Women in Podcasting awards for Entrepreneurial Inspiration and was shortlisted for Best Business Podcast at the British Podcast Awards.
It’s a lot I know, but this lived experience means that I can be sure when I tell you…
YOU REALLY CAN DO THIS…
Maybe you have a business idea that you believe in but you don’t know how to scope or market test. Maybe you have a live business that is showing promise and you want to understand what is possible and how to get there. Whatever stage you are at, by working with me you will get clear on exactly what you want to do, how to do it and more importantly why.
Working with me you can build a business that is not only an expression of your creativity and values but is also your legacy.
I started my career selling instant porridge pots to my friends and when I approached industry experts asking them how to get them into Waitrose they all said the same thing, ‘You can’t’.
Because I didn’t listen and found a way I played a small part in the re-allocation of power to independent business. Passing the baton to the women I coach and watching them run their race, strong with confidence, knowledge and courage is an utter joy.
