DOn’t put all your eggs in one basket if someone else owns the basket

REALWORK, the co-working space for women that I founded in June has taken on a life of its own. The decision on how to scale and when is informed by the idea that currently the community lives on third party software (Slack and Thinkific) and in order to really grow and reach more women that has to change.

This week we closed a pre-seed round of fundraising to finance the first stage of creating a native app for REALWORK to migrate onto at the end of the year. We are working with an all-female team of developers at @madebychapter and have taken in £25k straight out of the gates. The fact that 10 of the 13 investors are members of the REALWORK community is something that I am very proud of.

If you want to learn more from experienced freelancers and founders join REALWORK, the online co-working space for women who want the accountability of an action-based co-working space with an experienced and dynamic founder in the centre.
