Are you doing other people’s thinking for them?
I used to make assumptions about what kind of men fancied me based on information I'd picked up in the media. Then I went on Tinder and met a hot tennis player 15 years younger than me who was emphatically into me. It demonstrated that in this area of my life I was limiting myself by doing people's thinking for them.
It's the same in our work, when we hold back from showing up to talk about our business because we don't think we have anything interesting to say or don't look right we are doing other people's thinking for them and limiting possible outcomes.
