Big changes start with a small decision

I posted on Linkedin about the pressure I was putting on myself to be ready for Women's Day and contribute something. Lot's of you chimed in, the consensus was 'be yourself' so here I am to say I'm looking forward to seeing everyone's content and although REALWORK doesn't have anything special happening today we do have news....

Like all of us during the last year I have been asking myself questions about my own bias and past behaviour and trying to be better. I want to make sure that every woman REALWORK touches gets a good deal. It's for this reason that we made the decision this week to apply for B Corp registration, the gold standard of ethical business which interrogates organisations from top to bottom auditing their effect on people and planet.

Apart from knowing a few people who have done it @bcorpuk (hats off to @pippa.murray and @we.are.spruce) I don't know if we actually can do it, what it entails or how much it costs. I am just putting my hand up to say we are going to try and I am going to be completely transparent about the journey. If you are thinking about taking your business through the process why not do it together and join us?

If you want to follow our progress sign up to The REALWORKer newsletter where I am thinking of including a regular section 'B Corp Diary'.
