Have you found out what you are really here to do?

This isn't a trick question, but it's probably the key to happiness at work. A lot of us are in survival mode at the moment, I get that but there is still a process in there where we can learn more about who we are, who we serve and how.

I was talking about this with my 5 year old kid today, someone suggested we divert the 'what do you want to be when you grow up?' question and instead ask 'what is your ambition?'. The conversations that result are more interesting and sound the same as the conversations we are having in REALWORK.

If you aren't sure of your answer, don't worry you are not alone and it's something that changes and develops as more information becomes available but these prompts could help:

1: Think about the work scenarios where you felt really at ease and connected, what do those times have in common?

2: Think about the clients or customers who you have positively affected in the most meaningful way, who are they and how did you find them?

3: In those same work relationships how did you show up and what did you do for them?

Today my purpose is to support women to work and earn on their own terms. Have you found out what you are really here to do?
