Listen out for the ways that we are the same

Assimilating into any new group can feel hard but this piece of advice has always helped me and I regularly pass it on to women joining REALWORK.⁠

REALWORK has a diverse mix of women who share one common denominator: they are taking action to work and earn on their own terms. They come to the group with all different experiences and overwhelm can strike when we just listen out for people who have moved further ahead in our perceptions.⁠

Listening out for the similarities and not the differences in other people's businesses stories is a brilliant way to learn and a compassionate approach to the group an to ourselves.⁠
