you don’t have to speak the language

When I started my first business one of the things that made me feel intimidated was that I didn't understand the words people were using, the business jargon. The internet had only just been invented and so Googling it wasn't an option. ‘Do you have an MVP?’ ‘What are your KPIs?’ ‘What ROI am I looking at?’ Men in suits would say to me as I looked bamboozled.

If that rings a bell with you if you feel like you will be found out or shown up when people use words you aren't sure about I'm here to tell you it doesn't matter. You don't need to know any business jargon to start and run a successful business and it's fine to say in any meeting to any person 'What does that word mean?'

You don't have to wait until you can speak the language before you start working for yourself, you can start right now.
