Prioritise the people who have already opted in

Current conditions mean that a lot of us are creating new ways of working, finding new audiences and investing our time in new ways to market ourselves. This is good but can be distracting. Setting targets for sign-ups or conversations or revenue is also good but can be distracting.⁠⠀

If you are feeling jumpy or tense or even a tiny bit like a hamster on wheel running and running to get there first STOP. Turn and face the people who have already honoured you by giving you their money, who have already opted in, who have made a decision and crossed the line for you. ⁠⠀

The work you do with them and for them is the engine room of your marketing machine, give them the lion's share of your energy, serve them whole-heartedly and that work will be the hot wind that your business rises up on. ⁠⠀
